Integrated Management Systems

Many companies now hold certification to individual standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.  For those organisations that effectively combine these management system standards into an aligned or fully ‘integrated’ system, CARES Integrated Management System certification is possible.

The integrated approach stretches far beyond simply placing several sets of procedures into one manual. It is about operating a single management system that complies with the requirements of several standards and effectively meeting the requirements of these whilst gaining advantage by utilising the common system.

How do you achieve certification?

Firms wishing to achieve integrated management system certification must operate in accordance with the documented quality management system requirements of ISO9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001.

Firms that wish to embark on the path to integrated management systems certification can contact CARES to obtain some guidance on how to proceed.

The assessment procedure commences with a detailed review of the Quality Manual(s) against the requirements of the three standards. Providing the Quality Manual meets the requirements, an assessment of the firms system is carried out. The assessment team may comprise one or more auditors depending upon the size and complexity of the firm's activities. After a successful assessment and the payment of fees a Certificate of Approval will be issued.

Why choose CARES?

Achieving Integrated Management System certification requires considerable effort and commitment from a company. CARES provides free marketing support to promote successful certification and allows a certificated firm to display the relevant CARES "quality mark" on publicity and stationery.
All Approved companies are automatically included in the CARES Approved Firms section of this website.
